Thomas R. Mauldin, 74, a Panhandle area resident since 1912 died at North Plains Hospital in Borger at 5:25 p.m. Saturday. The retired cowboy was a resident of Stinnett, and a member of the Bunavista Baptist Church of Borger. Funeral services are pending at Ed Brown's Chapel of the Fountains. Surviving are a son, Willard B. Mauldin, of Stinnett; three brothers, Chester of Pampa, Jack of Las Vegas, N.M., and Jim Mauldin of Panhandle; four sisters, Mrs. Lee Shield Knight, Pampa, Mrs. Marie Wills, White Deer, Mrs. Rex Barton, Pampa and Mrs. Dave Taylor, Panhandle; a grandson and one great-grandson. Mauldin had made his home in Stinnett at 720 Wilhelm. Borger News Herald - September 14, 1964 Last rites for Thomas Roach Mauldin, 74, a resident of the Panhandle since 1912 and long time Stinnett resident, are to be conducted at 4 p.m. today at Ed Brown's Chapel of the Fountains. The Rev. Dudley Bragg, pastor of Bunavista Baptist Church is to officiate. Burial will be in White Deer Cemetery. Casket bearers are John Bergner, Ray Ownbey, Jake Early, Rex McCormick, A.S. Barrett and Charles Lewis. Mauldin died at North Plains Hospital at 5:25 p.m. Saturday. He was a retired cowboy. Surviving are a son, Willard B. Mauldin, of Stinnett; three brothers, Chester of Pampa, Jack of Las Vegas, N.M., and Jim Mauldin of Panhandle; four sisters, Mrs. Lee Shieldnight, Pampa, Mrs. Marie Wills, White Deer, Mrs. Rex Barton, Pampa and Mrs. Dave Taylor, Panhandle; a grandson and one great-grandson.
