First Wife: Melba Lois Kuhne Willeford Second Wife: Dorothy Faye Mayo Willeford Date of Second Marriage: March 28, 1948 WILLIS LAFAYETTE WILLEFORD (Advocate News Service) HALLETTSVILLE -- Willis Lafayette Willeford, 82, of Hallettsville, died on Tuesday morning at a Victoria hospital. Mr. Willeford was born in Gilmer on April 26, 1903. He was a member of the Church of Christ and retired employee of the Mobil Oil Company. Funeral services have tentatively been set for Thursday afternoon at the Kubena Funeral Home. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery near Hallettsville. He married Dorothy Faye Mayo on March 28, 1948, in Cuero. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Faye Mayo Willefod of Cuero; a daughter, Mrs. Janet Williams of Corpus Christi; two sisters, Nellie Willeford Rester and Evelyn Lurline Willeford Pritchett of Gilmer; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
