Bio

Married Lloyd Wilmoth 23 Feb 1929. Lethia Rose Wilmoth was born March 28, 1910, to Arthur and Myrtle Blowers Liams at Arnold, Nebraska and was called to rest after a long illness on June 23, 1985 at the age of 75 years, 2 months and 25 days. Lethia grew up in the Arnold area, grduating from Arnold High School after which she attended the Hastings School of Commerce. On February 23, 1929 in Julesburg, Colorado she was united in marriage to Lloyd Wilmoth. They lived in the Arnold area the first five years of marriage, where a son Dean and a daughter La Donna was born. They then moved to the Merna area where they lived until the time of their deaths. Lethia was active in the church and community work. She was a member of the Merna Methodist Church, the Anselmo Eastern Star and enjoyed many years in home extension, serving on the county board. She is survived by son Dean and wife Shirley of Wichita Kansas, daughter La Donna and husband Hostick of Merna, a grandson Steven Hostick of Merna, granddaughter, Deena Marie and husband Mark Bunzel of San Jose, California, a grandson, David Wilmoth and wife Julie of Houston Texas and two brothers Stanley Iams of Sutherland and Glenn Iiams of Long Beach, California. She was preceeded in death by her husband Lloyd in 1984, her parents and infant brother. Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 26, at 10:30 am at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow with the Reverend William Hunter officiating. Music for the service was provided by Shirley MdGinn and Patsy Downey. Pall bearers included Harold Lindly, Bob Lindly, Leonard Lindly, Leland Duryea Loren Hirsch and Max Bates. Burial was in the Merna Cemetary. Memorials may be made in Lethias memory to the United Methodist Church in Merna. Govier Brothers Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
