Archer County, Texas Cemeteries Archer Cemetery ∼ Mrs. Mollie Hodges was one of Archer City's most beloved pioneer women. She died at her home in the west part of the city. She had lived in the same house in this city for over 50 years. She was married on 11 August 1886 in Montague County to Benjamin Hodges, and soon after their marriage, they settled in Archer County. They first lived on a ranch and a few years later, moved to the ho use where she spent the remainder of her life. Her husband was known to almost every citizen in the area as "Uncle Ben". He preceded her in death by 18 years and one day. She was a member of the Christian Church. Surviving are one daughter - Mrs. Lewis Scott; three sons - Frank, Loy, and Jot Hodges; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. Archer County News July 15, 1948 front page
