Bio

Son of Christian and Frieda (Beth) Burr. Moved with his family to the Eddyville area in 1920; graduated from Eddyville High School in 1937 Grew up in the farming business, farmed until 1970; started working for Co-op and later became manager of the Eddyville Co-op. Married: Nov. 12, 1939, to Erma McClintick in Eddyville. She died Feb. 18, 1953. Married: Sept. 10, 1966, to Sylvia Reier Keyser in Eddyville. Activities: was a neat and well-organized man; enjoyed hunting, fishing and horses; enjoyed spending time with children, even driving a school bus for many years, but he especially loved his grandchildren; also enjoyed gardening and dancing; played on the Eddyville baseball team; took great pride in watching his grandkids and great-grandkids participate in sports. Survivors include his wife; sons, Bill Keyser of Ord, Jerry of Sumner, Mick Keyser of Clear Lake, Iowa, and David of Eddyville; daughters, Mary Ann Moritz of Lexington and Jan Beerbohm of Kearney; brother, Robert of Gibbon; 17 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren; also daughters-in-law, Carol Keyser of Ord, Kathie of Sumner, Jacque Keyser of Clear Lake and David of Eddyville; sons-in-law, Gary Moritz of Lexington and Gene Beerbohm of Kearney; and sisters-in-law, Ilis and Elaine, both of Gibbon. Was preceded in death by his first wife; parents; a son, Benjamin; sisters, Ida and Sophia and an infant, Ruth; and brothers, William and Roy.
