Obituary from the San Antonio Express News, Thursday, April 10,2003: "GOSS" "Lou Etta Goss, longtime resident of San Antonio entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 8,2003. She was born Janaury 29,1917 in Smiley, Texas to Joseph Henry and ElviraLee Odom Mitchell. Mrss. Goss retired as the head of the procurement department at Kelly A.F.B. in 1980. She was preceded in death by her parents; son Alton Ray Langton; sister, Velma Cummings; brothers, Elmer Mitchell and Douglas Mitchell. Mrs. Goss is survived by her beloved husband, Richard C. Goss; daughter, Mary L. Langton of San Antonio; sister, Merle Gehring of San Antonio; six grandchildren,Tina, Mark, Teresa, Cindy, Susan, and Donna; eleven great- grandchildren; one great- great- grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Goss will be held on Thursday, April 10,2003 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 11,2003 at 1:00 P.M. at Mission Park North Funeral Chapels with Reverend Joe Walts, officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at the Goss/Brown Cemetery in Kerrville."
