Bio

EVERETT S. CHIPPS Everett S. Chipps, 78, of Litchfield, died Friday at the Kearney hospital. Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Litchfield Christian Church with the Rev. Gerald Randolph officiating. Burial will be in Litchfield Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Litchfield Memorial Funeral Home. Mr. Chipps was born Feb. 15, 1901, south of Litchfield, the son of Joe and Rose Chipps. He was educated and reared in Sherman County. On Sept. 3, 1929 [sic - 1930], he married Adelaide Wiezorek in Kearney. The couple lived in Litchfield following their marriage. He was employed by Burlington Railroad for more than 30 years. Survivors include his wife, Adelaide; a son Jerald L. Chipps of Cambridge; a daughter, Sharon Wright of Sulphur Springs, Texas; and five grandchildren.
