According to the 1920 US Census, Robert was a machinist for the city water station. Father to of Vernon Franklin Laird, Arvil Leonard Laird, Ernest Linton Laird, Violet Mae Laird Lyle, Faye Evelyn Laird Sorensen. Grandfather to Lyle Donald Sorensen and Robert Eugene Sorensen. Great-Grandfather to Clinton Andrew Sorensen, Donni Ruth Sorensen Hardy, and Robert Sorensen.
