The Bellingham Herald (Bellingham WA) 30 Mar 1995 LONGTIME AUDITOR FOR SEARS Veda M. Roberts of Seattle died Monday, March 27, 1995, in Seattle. She was 86. At her request, no service will be held. Born Nov 20, 1908, to Robert E. and Laura Moffett Dixon in Custer, she grew up in Custer and graduated from Blaine High School. Mrs. Roberts attended Bellingham Business College and was a credit auditor at various Sears, Roebuck and Co stores in Washington, Oregon, Alaska and Idaho for many years before retiring at age 60. She lived at the family home on Kickerville Road for many years before moving to a nursing home in Seattle two years ago. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Roberts. Survivors include sister Dorris Ambler of Seattle, brother Wade Dixon of Seattle, five nieces and two nephews. Arrangements are by Moles Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
