Betty Lou Hanks (August 3, 1940 - May 8, 2010) Betty Lou (Davis) Hanks, 69, of Rose City, Texas, passed from her earthly home into Heaven on May 8, 2010. Ms. Hanks was born Aug. 3, 1940 in Cleveland, Texas to Henry Thomas Davis and Ruby (Havard) Davis. She was a 1958 graduate of Dayton High School and went to work for Southwestern Bell shortly after graduating. She retired from AT&T in 1992 after 34 years. She is preceded in death by her parents and by one brother, Robert Wayne Davis. She is survived by daughter, Clarissa Denise Hanks & husband, Fred Salinas of Houston; and Andre David LeFfebre of Vidor; by sister, Nancy Butchee of Lumberton, Tx; as well as by grandchildren, Daniel Lynn Marshall & Sierra Michelle LeFfebre; great-grandchild, Andriana Michelle Booker and nephew, Daryl Pipes. Services celebrating Betty's homegoing will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, at Rose City Baptist Church, 1430 Old Hwy. 90 West, Rose City/Vidor, Texas with a visitation time prior to service starting at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow services at 3:00 p.m. in Ryan Cemetery in Tarkington Prairie, Texas under the direction of Carter Funeral Home. ======== Betty's grand parents are buried in the Ryan cemetery.
