S= OBITUARY HIGHTOWER George Etheridge Hightower, 91, of Coldspring, Texas, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2008. He was born in Evergreen, Texas on April 25, 1917 to George L. and Nellie Jane Hightower who preceded him in death along with his brother, Albert Hightower and wife, Bea; sisters, Irene Ferrell, Mary Wheeler and husband, Jeff. George Hightower lived in Port Arthur and worked at the Chevron Refinery for 39 Va years. He was also a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Thora Stengler Hightower; daughter, Frances Jamar of Waukegan, Illinois; son, Don Hightower and wife, Tara of Bridge City, Texas; grandchildren, Rick Jamar, Ginger Carlton and Karl,Jackie Campos and Frank, Steve Hightower and Erica; great-grandchildren, Lauren and Jillian Carlton, Fox Campos, Carter Hightower; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members and treasured friends. Visitation will be Friday, June 20, 2008, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, 14250 Hwy. 150, Coldspring, Texas. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 21, 2008, 10:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Coldspring, Texas with interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Evergreen, Texas.
