Bio

Eloise Page 1928 - 2009 Our wonderful and faithful mother, Eloise Dobrusky Page, passed away after a rigorous battle with recurrent breast cancer Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009. She was welcomed home to the loving arms of not only her Heavenly Father but her husband Elwood (Woody) Orton Page, daughter Charlotte, sons Jerry Quentin and Dennis Elwood, and granddaughter Aubry Page. Eloise was born Feb. 1, 1928, in Cedar City, Utah, the daughter of Albin Joseph and Mary Haycock Dobrusky. She spent her youth in Parowan, Utah, and married Elwood on June 12, 1946, in the St. George LDS Temple. Her life was replete with challenge, victory, hard work, service and love. Her consistent work, service and love were symbolic of her loyalty and faithfulness to her family and her Heavenly Father. She is survived by her children Gayle (James) Whitteker, Richard Kirk (Rebecka) and Michael Don (Angela); daughter-in-law Glenda; as well as 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren that love and revere her. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at the Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. Friends may also call from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Metcalf Mortuary. Graveside services open to friends and family will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, in the St. George City Cemetery. Special thanks to her angel hospice nurse Britany, from Alpine Hospice, and the many other nurses and representatives for their caring expressions to our mother. Gratitude is also extended to the many friends and care providers at Pioneer Valley Lodge and Legacy House. In lieu of flowers consider donations to the LDS Church Perpetual Education Fund.
