Funeral services for Clifton Andrew "Bud" Westcott, 94, of Livingston were held in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston. Interment followed in Peebles Cemetery in Livingston. Mr. Westcott was born July 6, 1914 in Houston, the son of Hampton and Christianna Schriler Westcott, and died on Dec. 9, 2008 in Timberwood Nursing Home in Livingston. He served in Soda Baptist Church for many years as Sunday school superintendent and other areas where needed and could be used. He served faithfully in Providence Church for many years in all service as Sunday school superintendent, Men's Adult Sunday School teacher, Men's Brotherhood, training services, leading in Wednesday night prayer services and wherever he might be asked to serve. He was known as someone who served with a humble spirit, always preferring others before himself. He worked at Polk County Motor Co. for many years. He served in the United States armed forces from 1942 until 1946. On Nov. 14, 1953, he married his true love, Etta McBride, and they walked side by side as they served the Lord together. He is survived by Pauline Blum, daughter, of Livingston; Doris and Rodney Rogers, daughter and son-in-law, of Sour Lake; grandchildren, Tommy Rogers, Kirk and Jo Nan Rogers and Chuck and Shelia Blum and numerous great-grandchildren.
