Bio

Arnold W. Hunka Temple – Funeral for Arnold W. Hunka, 56, a retired switchman for the Santa Fe Railroad who died Wednesday night in a Temple hospital after an apparent heart attack, will be Friday at 3:30 p.m. in Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Temple. Officiating will be Rev. Albert Michalik. Burial will be in Delwood Memorial Park. He was born in the Oscar community near Temple and had lived in Teple most of his life. He had worked for the Santa Fe Railroad 28 years. He was a member of Temple Bretheren Church and Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nancy Hunka of Tempe; two sons, William Hunka and Ronald Hunka, both of Austin; his father, Joe Hunka of Taylor; a sister, Mrs. Mike Childers of Corpus Christi; two grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Thelbert Hardt, Fred Green, Ralph McDonald, John Stefka, Gene Connally, James Clouse, and J. D. Shook and Walter Jezek.
