Johnson Adcock was a son of Johnson Adcock and Sarah Johnson Johnson married Cynthia Lucinda Collier on December 15, 1842 in Marshall County, MS. Johnson was enumerated in 1860 in Marshall County, MS. Lucinda and Johnson were the parents of eight children. 1. Mary Emuline Adcock, b. 19-Jul-1844 in Maury Co., TN or Marshall Co., MS 2. Ransom Jefferson Adcock b. 18-May-1846. 3. William Albert Adcock, b. 05-Apr-1848 in Maury Co., TN 4. Gabriel Adcock, b. 31-Mar-1850 in Maury Co., TN 5. Joanna Adcock b. 16-Apr-1852. 6. Robert Alexander Adcock b. 07-Nov-1854. 7. Cleopatra Bernard "Patie" Adcock b. 17-May-1859. 8. Sarah Alexander "Sallie" Adcock b. 26-Nov-1860. Lucinda and Johnson moved frequently between Maury County, TN and Marshall County, MS. Johnson was murdered by a sniper on March 18, 1862 After Johnson was murdered, Lucinda and children continued to live in Holly Springs until 1865 when they moved to Maury County, TN where they remained until 1873. In 1873 Lucinda moved her flock to Fayette Co., TX--near LaGrange.
