Bio

William Pleasant Abernathy married Mrs. Verna B. Waldrep of 13 April 1959 of Odessa, Texas. The couple moved to Graham in 1978 from Odessa. William Pleasant “W. P.” Abernathy, 80, was a member of the Baptist Church. Survived by his wife; three daughters - Lavada Swinney; Doris Turner; Wanda Pratt; two step-daughters - Jean Patterson and Wanda Pratt; two step-sons - Ben Waldrep and Ray Waldrep; one brother - Clinton Abernathy; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
