He is survived by his ex-wife, and caregiver, Pat Hoepfl Lorenz and husband, Ronnie; sons, Shawn Hoepfl and wife, Lorna of Shepherd, Texas, Shannon Hoepfl of Shepherd, Texas; daughter, Tanya Hoepfl of Kingwood, Texas; grandsons, Tyler Hoepfl, Brayden McElfresh and Matthew Willhoite; granddaughter, Meagan Willhoite. A private memorial service will be held with burial at Farley Chapel Cemetery, Shepherd, Texas.
