Casper Star-Tribune Friday, December 26, 1980 Page B2 Jessie Mae Brown Lander - Services for Jessie Mae Brown, 93, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Lander Valley Chapel of the Henry Mortuary with the Rev. Jerry Dickman of Mountain View Baptist Church officiating. Mrs. Brown died Tuesday at Westward Heights Nursing Home. She was born Oct. 19, 1887 in Boone County, Neb. to Charles and Mary West. On March 6, 1907 she married James Roscoe Brown at Albion, Neb. They raised turkeys in Nebraska before coming to Wyoming in 1919 where they ranched south of Lander. She is survived by two daughters, Cleo VonBieker of Lander, Jean Kellis of Martinez, Calif.; and one son, Jerald Brown of Portland. Ore. she is also survived by three sisters, Vera Stump of Big Pine, Calif.; Vivian Mott of Albuquerque, N.M.; Ina Blacksmith of Omaha, Neb.; two brothers, Gordon West of Ogalalla, Neb.; and Bert West of Greeley, Colo.; 15 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorials to the Mountain View Baptist Church or to the donor's choice will be equally appreciated by the family.
