CONECUH COUNTY John D. Robinson RANGE -- John D. Robinson, a former millwright who had worked in several steel mills, died Wednesday at a Mobile hospital. He was 82. Robinson, a native of Pine Apple, was a resident of Range. He was a member of Hartwood Methodist Church and the Moose Club. The U.S. Army veteran was a member of the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Blanche Robinson; one son, John Davis Robinson Jr., both of Range; one brother, Alvin Robinson of Fairhope; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. The service is set for 2 p.m. today at Hartwood Methodist Church in Range. Burial will be in Hartwood Methodist Cemetery, with Monroe Chapel Funeral Home of Monroeville in charge of arrangements.
