Bio
Walter Lee Taylor, 77, of Liberty died Monday, September 29, 2003 in Baytown after an extended illness. Mr. Taylor was a lifelong resident of the Liberty Area. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church and the Sheriff's Association. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. Service for Mr. Taylor will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at the Central Baptist Church in Daisetta with the Rev. Harry McDaniels and the Rev. Jimmy Van Dorn officiating. Interment to follow at Oakdale Cemetery in Daisetta under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton. He was preceded in death by his parents: Lee Roy and Althalea Taylor. He is survived by his wife: Wanda Taylor of Daisetta; Son: Edward Taylor and wife Sara of Liberty; Step-Son: Marvin Smith and wife Pearl of Liberty; Daughter: Teresa Graham and wife Billy of Kenefick; Step-daughter: Jean Stanley of Saratoga; Half-brothers: Lee Charles Taylor of Old River and Harold Jordan of Batson; Sisters: Laura Nell Blanchard of Batson and Billie Jean Patton of Batson; Thirteen grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be the men of Central Baptist Church. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m., at Central Baptist Church in Daisetta.
