Bio

John Henry Cecil, 80, 12726 California St., Yucaipa, died at his home Friday. He was born in Texas, and was a 14-year resident of California. Cecil was a self-employed carpenter and a member of the Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his widow, Willie S.; two daughters, Vivian Kilgore of Grimes and Verna England of Pomona; two sisters, Donna McAlpine and Dell Bowers, both of Oklahoma; and four brothers, Jay of Oklahoma, Floyd, of Alabama, A.B. Cecil and Joe, both of Oklahoma. Services at the Hughes Funeral Chapel in Yucaipa. Burial in Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Calimesa. Obit: San Bernardino Sun 31 Aug 1970. An original "edit" was submitted by Earl Lindquist #48251989 showing John's father to be Floyd Wilford Cecil. (Actually, Floyd is a brother to John). The 1910 census for Willow, OK with names of sibling identified by the obituary, show his father to be William J. Cecil married to Polly for 23 years. Ancestry shows the family tree by Earl Lindquist with John's father as William J. Cecil. Therefore, the "edit" by Martha Kuykendall #48018569 is accepted and Earl's "edit" deleted. YVGS
