Obituary from Tahlequah Times Thursday, 9 August 1962, page 4. GEORGE ROBERT THOMPSON Funeral services for George Robert Thompson, 85, were held at 2 pm. Tuesday at graveside in Allen Cemetery in Delaware County. Burial was under direction of Reed Culver Funeral Home. Thompson died in a Tahlequah hospital Saturday following a six-year illness. He had been a resident of the Peggs Community for 34 years and was a retired farmer. Survivors include three sons, Elmer of Ivanhoe, California, Ralph and Woodrow, both of Hulbert; a daughter, Mrs Juanita Nichols of Peggs; two brothers, Joe B and Ray, both of Modesto, California; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
