Fayette-Edwin Redden,83,died July 24,1997 at Fayette Medical Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Nelson Funeral Home with Dr.Bill Ethridge and the Masonic Lodge officiating. Burial will follow in the Hertiage Memorial Gardens with Nelson Funeral Home of Fayette directing. Survivors include his wife,Vaudine Bobo Redden,Fayette; step-daughter,Judy Jenkins,Fayette;step-sons, Joel Jenkins,Auburn,and Thomas Jenkins,Northport;sisters, Loraine Davis and Geneva Stripling both of Birmingham;brother,George Redden,Lake Charles,La.;much loved grandchildren,Mark Jenkins,Gregory Jenkins,Justin McCoy and Amanda McCoy;nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will tentatively be Justin McCoy,Mark Jenkins, Ricky Harkness,Buddy Widmar and Buster Howton. He was born May 1,1914 in Magnolia,Miss. He was the son of Charles Redden and Ida Jayne McKinley. He lived in Fayette County most of his life. He was a retired manager of the Fayette-Guin Coca Cola Company after 25 years of service. He was a member of Covin Methodist Church. He was a veteran of World War II where he served as a Navy signalman. He was a Master Mason with over 57 years of service in the Charles Baskerville Lodge 281,Fayette. He was a Zamora Shriner, an Eastern Star member. Tuscaloosa News-Saturday,26 July 1997
