S. T. Sawyer is Buried Thursday S. T. (Tom) Sawyer, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 30, at Garland, Texas, where he was visiting in the home of Howard Sullins. Death was attributed to heart failure, deceased having suffered from a heart ailment for some time. Funeral services were held here at Aderhold Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, Mr. M. T. Neal officiating. Interment was in Bold Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers were six grandsons. Mr. Sawyer was born in North Carolina. He moved to Texas and settled in this community in 1907. He had been a resident of this section since that time. Mr. Sawyer engaged in farming until 1935 when he retired following the death of his wife. He had been a member of the Church of Christ for many years. Surviving are one son, Albert Sawyer of West, and thirteen grandchildren.
