Wellington Leader April 22, 1999 Ray Woodard, age 63, of Memphis, died Friday, April 16, 1999 in Amarillo. Mr. Woodard was born February 13, 1936 in Grapeland to fines Bolton and Myrtle Frances Carter Woodard. He was well acquainted in Clarendon, Wellington and Childress since he lived in those areas for 20 years. He had lived in Memphis 32 years where he was employed with Memphis Glass and Supply for 26 years. He married Patsy Petty, march 13, 1956 in Hedley. Mr. Woodard was an avid fisherman and hunter and was a member of the Travis Baptist Church in Memphis. Survivors include his wife, Patsy, of the home; two sons, Ricky Woodard of Garland and Glen Allen Woodard of Memphis; two daughters, Sheri Lyn Richards of Tennessee and Vicki Joyce King of Durham, NC; two brothers, Toby Woodard of Hedley and Johnny Woodard of Lefors; a sister, Jeneda Gay of Lefors and three grandsons, two step-grandsons and one step-granddaughter.
