Kenneth Ray Krizan (November 30, 1950 - April 14, 2010 Our beloved husband, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend Kenneth Ray Krizan, also known as KK, went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on April 14,2010 at 5:28 am, after a lengthy illness. Ken was born on November 30,1950 to Ray and Mollie (Divin) Krizan in Dallas and has lived in Texas, mostly the Dallas area, during his lifetime. He grew up in North Dallas and attended Sudie Williams and Stephen C. Foster Elementary Schools, Edward H. Carey Junior High, and Thomas Jefferson High School, where he graduated in May of 1969. He continued his education at Hill Junior College and earned his associate's degree in 1971. Ken was active in sports from an early age, including Little League Baseball, High School football, track and field, baseball, and college baseball. He was an avid University of Texas Longhorn fan, having attended 43 Texas OU football games, his very favorite game to experience. He was fortunate to attend several championship games, including 2 recent University of Texas championship games at the Rose Bowl. Ken was also a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, having puchased season tickets at the original Texas Stadium. He was spotted at many a Cowboy game as well as Super Bowls. Professionally, Ken was a super salesman who always kept customers and colleagues as friends throughout the years. His personable skills of organization, leadership, friendliness, and integrity followed him throughout his societal life also. His second profession could have easily been Event Planning. You could count on Ken to superbly organize and successfully carry out a family reunion, bus trip entertainment to the horse races, or rehearsal dinner comic mock wedding ceremonies. He was blessed with a witty sense of humor who entertained us all, including funny anecdotal e-mails that brightened our days. Ken use his leadership skills in volunteering for The Catholic Czech Club on the Board of Directors and most recently as Czech Club President. He was a member also of the fraternal societies of KJT#111, Dallas, and SPJST #6, Cottonwood, Texas. Personally, KK loved to travel with his wife, Karen, family, and friends to various places around the United States and the world, including a very fulfilled desire of his life to pilgrimage to Rome to the Vatican. He enjoyed excursions to local casinos and Las Vegas with close friends and his sister from Phoenix, Arizona and her family. Kenneth is survived by his spouse, Karen Krizan; sister, Rose Crow, brother-in law Ed, niece Sarah Crow and husband Jim Carter, twin grandnephews Grayson and Jaxson Carter, aunts, numerous cousins and friends. Ken will be sorely missed but has traveled on to a much better place in Heaven with his mom and dad and his admired heroes Crazy Ray and Tom Landry. "For you have delivered my soul from death and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of life." Psalm 56:13.
