Bio

Mrs. Blanche Griffith, 52, of 309 N. Meek St., died at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Eureka Hospital, where she had been a patient for one week. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Otto-Argo Funeral Home here with the Rev. L. P. Flynn officiating. Burial will be in Olio Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Griffith was born July 23, 1909, in Moultrie County, a daughter of Roy and Minnie Harmison Roney. She was married to Floyd Griffith on Feb. 23, 1929, at Sullivan. Survivors are her husband; her mother, of Bethany; one son, Roger of Eureka; one daughter, Mrs. Charles Alexander of Washington; two brothers, Leland of Decatur and Donald of Lincoln; three grandchildren. One sister preceded her in death. Mrs. Griffith was a member of the Eureka Methodist Church; Doric Chapter, Order of Eastern Star; the Lakeview Club.
