ss/w Carl Harwell ------------------------------------------------------------ HARWELL, Fannie Pearl Funeral services for Mrs. Fannie Pearl Abernathy Harwell, 62, resident of the Pisgah community, were held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at Bennett-May Funeral Home, with the rites conducted by the Rev. Thomas Vann, former pastor. Burial took place in Pisgah Cemetery. Mrs. Harwell died early Thursday morning, March 21, at Giles County Hospital after a brief illness. Born September 28, 1900, in Giles County, she was the daughter of the late William Hardy Abernathy and Carrie McCormack Abernathy. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Mrs. Harwell is survived by her husband, Thomas Carl Harwell; two sons, Thomas B. Harwell and William J. Harwell, Giles County; and three sisters, Mrs. Cleo Gunter, Nashville, Mrs. Willie A. Harwell, Blooming Grove, and Mrs. J. D. Barshears, Pisgah; and one brother, Clarence Abernathy, Pisgah. Bennett-May Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
