Bio

David Henry Harris was born 15 Sep 1846, Gwinnett County, Georgia. He was the son of William Henry Harris and Lucinda "Cindy" Rawlins. He is buried in New Georgia Baptist Church Cemetery, Paulding County, Georgia. David married Eliza Adeline Brown. They had seven children: William Jasper Harris, 1871-1936, married Ora Jane Noland. Lula B. Harris, 1872-1962, married James E. Noland (1), Thomas Jordan (2). George Washing Harris, 1874-1951, married Lillie Lea Brock. Jane "Jennis" Eva Harris, 1876-1964, married Samuel B. Noland. May Harris, 1879-1939, married John M. Morgan. Annie F. Harris, 1880-1940, married Buford W. Butler. Thomas Henry Harris, 1882-1959, married Mary Caroline McBrayer. David was drafted in the the Civil War. It is believed he was in a holding company and never saw action. Many records for David Harris' exist at the Confederate Research Center. So many Harris', in fact, they could have fought the war by themselves.
