Bio
Son of John and Virginia (Bernt) Tomasevicz. He attended elementary and high school in Shelby. He graduated from UNL in 1966. On December 3, 1966 Dick married Elaine Kohout. Shortly thereafter Dick went to work for Union Insurance Company in North Platte, NE, then State Farm Insurance in Cedar Rapids, IA. In 1974 he and his wife bought Service Master of Omaha where they both worked together for 35 years, retiring in 2009 due to his health. Dick was a great story teller and loved nothing better than to be with friends, and tell stories and jokes. He also enjoyed boating, golf, bowling, photography, and the horse races. He was also a Husker fan. Dick loved to travel, taking his family to Florida and California. Later in life Dick and Elaine enjoyed cruises to the Caribbean, and trips to Las Vegas. Dick is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Elaine; daughter, Kris Tomasevicz; son, Mike Tomasevicz, all of Omaha, NE; sister, Donna and husband Don Wehunt of Atlanta, GA; brother, Dennis Tomasevicz and wife Amy of Shelby, NE; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. NOTE; As of April 2014 I have NOT connected any living individual to this memorial.
