Robert J. Kucera, 55, of Gurnee, IL passed away Friday, October 20, 2000 at his home after a short illness. He was born January 19, 1945 in Denver, CO and has been a resident of Lake County for the past 20 years. Robert was the Past President of the St. Patrick Church of Wadsworth Parish Council.Adjunct Instructor at the Loyola University School of Medicine and Senior Research Biochemist for Abbott Laboratories. He is survived by his parents, Ethel (the late Lad) Kucera of Lake Forest, IL; a son, Christopher Kucera of Green Bay, WI; and friend and wife, Cheryl Kucera of Lindenhurst, IL. Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, October 24, 2000 at 10 AM at the Old St. Patrick Catholic Church, 15000 W. Wadsworth Rd., Wadsworth, IL. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Catholic Charities or The United Way in his memory would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the SYMONDS-LAKES FUNERAL HOME, 111 W. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake, IL.
