Brooks Siblings: Willie Lowe, Laura DeLura, Elmon A., Cora Maggie, James Huell, Johnnie. 1900: Living in Precinct 2, Coryell, Texas with parents, two siblings, and grandmother. son of James Monroe Timmons & his mother was James's first wife, but not Maragret (she raised him) THE LAMPASAS LEADER FRIDAY, MAY 3, 1907 Gatesville, Tex., April 30. - One day last week Lee Timmons, a young married man living near Ater, 12 miles east of this place, was thrown from a cultivator and his clothing caught in a cogwheel and he was dragged by the mules until they tired down. His clothing was torn off, both legs broken and a large hole torn in his side. In this condition he lived about 50 hours and was buried yesterday. His nerve was a subject of much comment. When the parties who first reached him started to unloose him, he said: "Unloose the mules first."
