From the McAlester News Capital, Tuesday May 14, 1995 Services for Beatrice Gladys Roberts, 83, formerly of McAlester were held Saturday, May 13, at 2 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, McKinney, Texas. Burial was at Ridgeview Memorial Park with Rev. Louis Moran and David Kautt officiating. Born, May 23, 1910 in Mesquite, Texas, she was the daughter of Jack and Mora Lee Leach Morran. She married Charlie Calvin Roberts on December 4, 1926, in Dallas County. She was a housewife and a member of Northwest Christian Church, McKinney, Texas. While residing in McAlester, she attended Victory Park Baptist Church. Survivors include six sons and five daughters-in-law, Charles and Ina Roberts, Lester Earl Roberts, and W.A. and Brenda Roberts, all of McAlester; Jerry and Liz Roberts, Greenville, Texas; Thomas and Barbara Roberts, Celina, Texas; and Ronny and Vicky Roberts, McKinney, Texas; two daughters and a son-in-law, Lillie Jo Hale, Allen, Texas and Peggy and Glenn Bourland, McKinney, Texas; a brother, Louis Moran, Sunnyvale, Texas; two sisters, Clodell Summers and Laura Francis McElroy, both of Mesquite, Texas; 37 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Dorothy OmaGene Gibbons; a daughter-in-law, Bettie Ruth Roberts; two grandsons and a great-grandson.
