Bio

HATTIESBURG - Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home for Rufus T. Morgan Jr., 96, of Hattiesburg, who died April 5, 2010, at State Veterans Home in Collins. Burial is in Highland Cemetery with full military honors. Mr. Morgan was retired from the Air Force and the United States Postal Service. He was a member and deacon of New Hope Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Ted Spackey of Houston; and a sister, Annie Smith of Rawls Springs. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorena Lott Morgan. Visitation is noon Thursday at the funeral home.
