M.L. Ford was a well-known businessman and resident of Athens for twenty-five years prior to his death on May 22, at his home at 302 West Scott, Athens. Mr. Ford was born January 17, 1882, in Lookout Mountain, Alabama, to Mr. and Mrs. J.F. Ford. He moved to Athens in 1918 to install a laundry with J. Binford, and then moved to Amarillo.
