Ohio 2nd Lieutenant 305 AAF Bomb GP WW II Name: Hux, William R. Date: Man 8 1948 Source: Cleveland Press, Reel #40 Notes: Lieut. William R. Hux. Memorial services and burial will be in Columbus. Miss., for Lieut. William R. Hux of Cleveland was killed on a mission over Germany in November. 1943. His body has just been returned from overseas. Lieut. Hux, a navigator on a Flying Fortress, entered service here in 1941. A graduate of West High School, he had worked for the Ohio Bell Telephone Co. He was 23 at the time of his death. Survivors include his mother. Mrs. Minnie Hux, 1815 W. 48th St.; two sisters, Mrs. Woodrow Havens and Miss Sheila Hux. and two brothers, Charles of Boston, and John of Cleveland. He will be buried beside his father.
