Bio

Edward Layton married Ruth Roquemore on 3 September 1923 in Jacksonville, Texas. Services for Edward Layton were held in the First Baptist Church. He moved to Eastland in 1922 and was a retired school teacher. Mr. Layton was a former postmaster at Eastland. He was a veteran of World War I and on the board of Deacons at First Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife; one son - Charles Layton; two grandchildren.
