Md 13 October 1942, Marlin, Falls Co, TX to Bertha Owen "The Hearne Democrat," 13 January 1972, p. 8 AMBEY B. CRISP FUNERAL SUNDAY Funeral services for Ambey B. Crisp, 64, of Marlin were held Sunday, January 9, at 10 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery in Marlin with Minister Malcolm Smith officiating. Mr. Crisp died Friday morning in a Rosebud hospital. He was born March 19, 1907 in Robertson County but had lived in the Marlin area for most of his life. He was married to the former Bertha Owen on October 13, 1942 in Marlin. Mr. Crisp was a retired carpenter and a member of the Church of Christ. Surviving are his widow of Marlin; a step-daughter, Mrs. Maria Vowels of Houston; nine grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Esper Millstead of Bellmead; and four brothers, O. D. Crisp of Franklin, Monroe Crisp, George Crisp and Gene Crisp, all of Texas City.
