Bio
Funeral services for Della Dodson, 95, of Boatman, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday Feb. 11, in the Bryan Chapel Church in Boatman. Rev. Bill Tramel and Rev. Randy Hamil will officiate. Interment will be in the Bryan Chapel Cemetery under the direction of the Jim Green Funeral Home of Pryor. Mrs. Dodson was born Dec. 10, 1888, in St. James, Ark. She died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 1984. She was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church in St. James and she was a housewife. She and Joe Dodson were married Aug. 17, 1906, in Mountain View, Ark. He preceeded her in death March 15, 1955. Also preceeding her in death are two sons, Everett and Collie Dodson, one grandson, Jerry Wayne Dodson, and one great-grandson, Jeffrey Wayne Dodson. Survivors include two sons, Roscoe Dodson and Joe Dodson, both of Boatman; one sister, Dovie Franks of Alicia, Ark; 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
