Bio
William ("Willie") B. Curtis was a son of Samuel Benton Curtis & his first wife, Sarah Anne Shaw (from England). Willie's paternal grandparents were Dr. Samuel Curtis and Nancy (Petty) Curtis. Willie Curtis married Mollie L. Dunbar and they had six known children together. Sometime prior to July 1942 Willie and Mollie divorced, and Willie married Mrs. Lorene Payne on 11 July 1942 in Wood County, Texas. Willie had a difficult life and suffered with alcoholism. He took his own life while living with his son Leonard in the town of Kleberg in southeast Dallas County, Texas.
