Bio

Daughter of Adolph (Dub) and Rose (Bernt) Grossnicklaus in Osceola. She attended District 5 school and graduated from Osceola High School in 1936. On July 30, 1940, she was united in marriage to Calmer G. Boden in Kearney. To this union two sons were born. Leona was a farm wife and enjoyed sewing, flowers and working in the garden. Her husband Calmer passed away March 13, 1998. After her husband's death she enjoyed spending time at the Osceola Senior Center. On Jan. 29, 2010, Leona moved to the Osceola Good Samaritan Society in Osceola where she resided until her passing. She was a member of the Fillabuster Club. Survivors include sons, Lee Boden of Osceola and Lynn Boden of Omaha, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calmer, sister, Irene Burritt, and two grandsons.
