Bio
Son of Eugene and Regina (Vrbka) Riha. He graduated from Aquinas High School in 1978. He worked at the Schuyler Packing Plant for 10 years and he also farmed. Farming was his life's work. He farmed with his brother Dan most of his adult life. Steve's other hobbies included watching the stock market daily and knowing what prices grain, gold and silver were at each day. He also enjoyed being with family and socializing at Northside or Stop-Inn. He would occasionally enjoy a trip to the horse races when time permitted. He also spent time playing cards at the senior center in David City. Steve is survived by his mother, Regina (Marvin) Skala of Crete; siblings, Larry Riha of David City, Connie (Tim) Novicki of Columbus, Michael Riha and Daniel Riha both of David City, Randy (Roxene) Riha of Columbus, Janie (Cliff) Ziemba and Dale Riha both of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene in 1994 and his grandparents, John and Agnes Vrbka and Anton and Matilda Riha.
