Henry D. Bolen was the son of Thomas Martin and Nancy (Weeks) Bolen, and a sister to Elmira Jane Bolen Shaver. He is buried beside his Mother. Uncle Henry Bolen was a very tall man, owned a large farm on the Tennessee River where the Bolen Family Reunions were held for many years. He was the first in the family to make the dancing "limberjack", the jointed wooden figure that he would make dance on a board. He married Nellie Clementson Graves and they had no children. She had two young sons by a previous marriage.
