Bio

Daughter of Frank and Rose (Trojan) Zitek. Martha was a 1937 graduate of Assumption High School in Dwight. She was united in marriage to George W. Demuth on November 25, 1941 in Dwight, NE. They lived on a farm near Staplehurst unitl 1970 when they moved into Staplehurst. They remained in Staplehurst until moving to Seward in 1998. She was a devoted farm wife and worked at the Seward Memorial Hospital for 31 years as a Nurses Aide. Martha enjoyed gardening, baking, listening and dancing to Czech music. Martha is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Barb Demuth of Seward; daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Dave Wimmer of West Point, NE, Paula and Don Volker of York, Pam and Lonn Hutcheson of Lewisville, TX; daughter-in-law, Deb Demuth of York; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister Margaret Schaefer of Seward; sisters-in-law, Loretta Zitek of Lincoln and Nell DeMuth of Spokane, WA; many nieces and nephews.
