Joe F. Skarpa, Menlow Farmer, Found Dead Joe F. Skarpa, farmer of near Menlow, was found dead at his farm Sunday morning, August 30... Deceased was born in Texas on December 15, 1880, being 50 years of age at the time of his death. Funeral services were held at the Lutheran Church here on Monday, August 31, Rev. F. J. Kostohryz officiating. Interment was at Bold Springs Cemetery. Survivors are the widow; four daughters, one son; three brothers, Martin and Frank of near West, and Paul of Coryell County; four sisters, Mrs. F. G. Grossman, Mrs. Adolph Koudelka, Mrs. Anton Matustik and Mrs. Will Barton. The West News, West, Texas, Volume 42, No. 14, Edition 1, Friday, September 4, 1931, page 1.
