== Birth & Parents == On Saturday, 13 July 1878 in Nectar, Blount County, Alabama, Susan Isabelle Doty was born. At the time this profile was created, she was the 4th known child, of 9 known children, born to Lorinda Rutherford (22 Dec 1847 - 21 Oct 1912) and David Alphus Doty (13 April 1837 - 26 Nov 1911). == Marriage to Charles Wesley Mince == On Sunday, 25 Oct 1908 in Nectar, Blount County, Alabama, 30-year-old Susan Isabelle Doty married the 42-year-old widower, Charles Wesley Mince, son of Madison David Mince (1846 - 1919) and Nancy Emeline (Hare) Mince (1847 - 1920) == Obituary Notice == "County News. Rock Hill. Our community was made sad when the news was telephoned that Mrs. Susan Mince was dead. She died Wednesday morning, July 10, and was buried the following afternoon at Cool Springs. Rev. Babe Meredith of Walton conducting the funeral service in the presence of a large congregation of friends and relatives. Mrs. Mince was a good woman and will be greatly missed in her home and community. She professed faith in Christ several years ago and joined the Baptist church at China Grove, to which faith she remained true to the end. She leaves behind her to mourn her loss four children, two boys and two girls; seven step-children, three boys and four girls; one brother and two sisters and several other relatives. Had Mrs. Mince lived until Saturday, July 13, she would have been 57 years old. The many beautiful flowers that covered the newly-made grave were tokens of love and esteem for the deceased.
