Bio

Daughter of Edward T. and Agnes(Haba) Kucera. She graduated from David City High School in 1962. On May 5, 1964, she married Gary Polacek at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Bruno. They farmed near Bruno and Geraldine worked at the Butler County Healthcare Center for over 10 years. She loved cooking and baking kolaches, dancing and teaching the children how to dance. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and the PCCW. Geraldine is survived by her husband, Gary of Bruno, one daughter,Stephanie Polacek of Norfolk, one son, Jeremy(Sarah) Polacek, Norfolk, three sisters;Karen(Alden) Kment, Schuyler, Loretta(Ed) Patchen,Jr., Fremont, and Jeanette(Tim) Blake of Schuyler, two sisters-in-law, Dott Polacek, Gulf Port, Mississippi and Rita(Leonard) Chapek of Weston, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Agnes Kucera and a brother-in-law, Eldon Polacek.
