Wallace was the son of Thomas & Mary E. Davis Graven. He married Susan Selock, 15 Dec 1897, Moultrie County, Illinois. They had eight children. ==== Wallace Graven Passed On Sunday W. W. Graven, well known retired farmer, died Sunday at the home of his son Elmer Graven, southeast of this city. He was 65 years, 3 months and 22 days of age. He was born southeast of Sullivan. After attaining manhood, he was united in marriage with Susan Selock, who passed away in October of last year. He is survived seven children, 3 sons, Elmer, Charles and Wallace; four daughters, Mrs. Dale Elzy of near Allenville; Mrs. Leo Combs of Charleston; Miss Gladys Graven of Shelbyville and Mrs. Wallace Ritchey of Chicago. There are 6 grandchildren. He also leaves his half-brother, John Graven of near Kirksville. For many years Mr. Graven served as a township school treasurer. He was also a justice of the pace and served several terms as Democrat precinct committeeman. The remans were brought to the McMullen funeral and prepared for burial after which they were taken to the Elmer Graven home. Tuesday morning funeral services were held in the Waggoner church, south of Allenville. Elder W. A. Shastain and Elder Baker were in charge of the services. The remains were laid to rest in French cemetery. Pall bearers were Roy Martin, Ray Misenheimer, Art Graven, A. A. Hollenbeck, Claude Stone and Albert Underwood.
