Florence C. Ownby, 86 Of Cumberland Dies In Richmond CUMBERLAND, March 2 — Florence Clabo Ownby, 86, of Cumberland, passed away Monday, March 1, 2010 in Richmond. She was born February 13, 1924 in Sevierville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Edgar L. and Ellen King Clabo. Her life was devoted to her family and her church. She was a member of Hatcher Baptist Church and was an extraordinary mother and grandmother. She had a strong faith in God and was an active member of her church. She is survived by her daughters, Betty Jo LeSueur and husband, Dan of Dillwyn, Pat Miles and husband, Ray of Cumberland County, Frankie Branham and husband, George of Cumberland, Dotty Roosevelt and husband, Dan of Charlottesville and Linda Ownby of Cumberland; sister, Mattie Reagan of Sevierville, TN; grandchildren, Danny LeSueur, Johnny LeSueur, Donna Miles, Margaret Haas, Brad Roosevelt and Lauren Haislip and great-grandchildren, Danielle LeSueur, twins, Claire and Emily LeSueur, Katie and Abby Haas and twins born March 1, Hannah and Leah Haislip. A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 4, at 2 p.m. at Hatcher Baptist Church with interment at Jones Chapel Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Florence Ownby to Hatcher Baptist Church.
