Bio

Rosa was born in Brno, Moravia (Czech Republic) to Joseph and Antonia Kabes Oddozil. Her father died when she was a child. After his death, her mother immigrated with the family to the United States settling in Nebraska, and in 1891 remarried to Frank Hegr. Rosa adopted the maiden name Hegr from her stepfather. She married Frank Sima in 1909. They lived in Plainview, S.D., then farmed in Butler County, Nebraska for 45 years, retiring to Bruno. The Sima's were blessed with three sons and a daughter, William (d. 1987), Frank (d. 1963), Robert Edward (d. childhood) and Anna Narcissus nee Sima Holtzclaw Davis (d. 1996).
